Position Overview:
We seek a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead cutting-edge research in cervical cancer prevention, focusing on molecular mechanisms and community-engaged interventions. The candidate will enroll participants from primary care clinics serving Latinas, integrate molecular biology techniques, apply bioinformatics/biostatistical analyses and use AI chat-boxes to build and automate workflows with AI features to advance understanding of cervical cancer risk and prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, consent, and enroll participants from primary care clinics serving Latinas.
- Design and implement molecular biology experiments (e.g., HPV genotyping, biomarker analysis).
- Manage and analyze datasets using R/Python.
- Develop statistical models to identify predictors of cervical cancer progression.
- Prepare manuscripts, grant proposals, and presentations.
- Liaise with clinic staff, community organizations, and IRBs.
- Mentor students and contribute to lab operations.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, or related field.
- Experience enrolling Latina participants in clinical/community-based research.
- Proficiency in bioinformatics and biostatistics (R/Python)
- Knowledge in the use of AI chatboxes to build to automate workflows using AI features.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of cervical cancer biology and health disparities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience with community-based participatory research (CBPR).
