Job Description:
This position will play a crucial role on our team supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Commerce, Small Business Administration and state and local municipalities efforts to advance federal, state, and local access to relevant innovative domestic sources of supply.
Qualified candidates will be expected to design and conduct comprehensive research projects, analyze research data and present findings in a clear and concise manner, write and publish scholarly articles and papers detailing the findings of the research, apply for grants and funding to support research projects, present research findings at conferences, workshops, and symposiums, contribute to the supervision and mentoring of students within the relevant fields of study, and collaborate with other researchers and faculty to expand the scope of research.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent research to strengthen the domestic industrial base and resilience of the nation’s supply chains
- Serve as principal investigator on select projects
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of research grant proposals
- Develop and implement research methodologies and procedures
- Present research findings at conferences and meetings
- Contribute to scholarly publications
- Mentor and provide guidance to students
- Collaborate with other researchers to enhance research quality and output
- Stay up-to-date with latest developments in the field of study
Qualifications and Skills:
- A PhD degree in a relevant field of study
- Proven experience in conducting high-quality academic research
- Proficiency in data analysis software and research methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong track record of working in Defense with government and industry
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Working Conditions:
The individual will work in an office environment at 1333 Ashton Road and be prepared to do so at least 3 days a week. The position may require occasional evening and weekend work to meet project deadlines and support MoveAmerica events. If assigned to support federal agency customer such as the Department of Defense (DoD), the candidate must adhere to DoD security protocols, tenant requirements, and comply with all regulations and policies governing the handling of sensitive information.
