LifeGift is currently looking for a Family Support Coordinator
Do you possess the attributes to be a successful Family Support Coordinator and perform the following essential functions?
- Responds to all inquiries and follow-up requests from families of donors, recipients, transplant centers, and fellow Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO) within a reasonable amount of time, via telephone or email.
- Provides a resolution to less than satisfied families of donors and follows-up as appropriate.
- Collaborates with transplant centers and tissue banks for addressing recipient follow-up requests from families of donors.
- Supports other Communications Department initiatives as appropriate.
Do you have the education and experience to be a Family Support Coordinator?.
- BA or BS in behavioral sciences, life sciences, psychology or two years of OPO experience required.
- Prior experience as an executive assistant with administrative duties, or similar high volume, with one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in grief counseling, donor family relations, patient advocacy and/or in organ/tissue procurement or transplant center preferred..
As a condition of employment, you must be able to attain Hospital Badge and EMR Access from all of the LifeGift Hospital Partners
