Sales Assistant
Role Summary:
The Sales Assistant is instrumental in cultivating new and current accounts to increase sales and maximize opportunities. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and driven by meeting sales goals. You’ll strategize with and report to Key Account Managers to grow account revenue daily. Recognizing this is a customer and sales facing position, the perfect candidate must have a positive, collaborative mindset and be service and purpose driven with excellent communication skills and a drive to succeed.

Responsibilities:
· Assist Account Managers with daily communication and processes relating to their accounts.
· Collaborate with all departments to ensure orders are processed properly and in compliance with each account’s requirements.
· Help drive revenue through maintaining positive relationships with each account and through direct communication with buyers.
· Ensure the highest level of satisfaction for each account through excellent customer service and strong interpersonal relationships.
· Manage the daily correspondence between Account Managers and their customers.
· Respond to emails, phone calls and other forms of correspondence in a timely manner.
· Clear understanding and detailed knowledge of brands, products, features and assortments.
· Assist in meeting sales objectives to achieve company goals.
· Communicate PO’s and ship windows to sales support.
· Work with inventory analysts to understand stock status of items on Purchase Orders
· Clearly communicate stock status and any revisions necessary on orders to the Account Managers and accounts as needed.
· Work with Sales Support to confirm stock availability, pricing, discount levels and product requirements for purchase orders received is accurate.
· Forward samples requested by customers, arrange shipments, and notify customer of the status. In addition, clearly communicate to customer return requirements for any samples and provide any labels or documents necessary for them to do so.
· Complete commercial invoices and other supporting documents for sample shipments out of the country
· Maintain customer database by updating notes and information on accounts.
· Prepares Account Managers for sales presentations by compiling current and historical selling data, as well as preparing look books and sample shipments for meetings.
· Excellent note taker with attention to detail as pertains to account feedback in sales meetings.
· Compile and log feedback from accounts and communicate feedback to Account Managers and necessary departments (ie: Director of Sales, product development team, inventory team, and brand management team)
· Strategize account specific assortments with Account Managers
· Complete customer recommendations and line lists following meetings and/or conversations with accounts.
· Maintain consistent and professional communication with Account Managers, all departments, and with accounts.
· Liaise with brand management and VP of Marketing for approval on printed and digital marketing assets for each account.
· Accomplishes departmental and organizational mission by completing related tasks as needed.
· Will attend trade shows and travel to assist Account Managers with meetings for current and potential accounts.
· Will assist in tradeshow set up, selling and tear down, including sample sales.
· Other duties and projects as assigned.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
· Self-Starter with proven initiative and drive for results
· Advanced excel (v lookup, pivot tables, concatenate, PowerPoint, etc.)
· Familiarity with multiple operating programs/systems is a plus.
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
· Must be deadline driven, have excellent organizational and time management skills, and possess strong problem resolution skills.
· Must possess a collaborative, cooperative, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
· Exhibits high level diplomacy and attention to detail.
· Strong organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills
· Excellent administrative, clerical, record-keeping, and computing skills
· Must be able to travel.
· Overtime may be required, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time in a cubicle environment.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
Academic Qualifications:
· A degree in Sales or Business Administration is preferred.
· 2 years’ experience in similar role
