We are seeking to hire a Software Project Manager. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and excellent technical skills. You are a capable problem solver who is comfortable researching solutions autonomously.
In this role, you will be working with experienced software developers and engineers. You will manage the software engineering lifecycle following the software development plan (SDP) including requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis and design, code and unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Qualifications:
- Experience maintaining and monitoring project plans and schedules.
- Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira).
- Experience with documentation tools (e.g. Aligned Elements)
- Experience with source code version control management tools (e.g. Bitbucket).
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to get things done, overcome obstacles, and deliver results
- Must have ability to multitask and to be a team player
- Experience as a Scrum Master a plus
- Experience in the Healthcare/Health Insurance Industry a plus
Responsibilities:
- Help develop and implement new process and procedures
- Establish a culture of self-organizing, and accountable teams
- Assist teams to identify, communicate and resolve or escalate impediments and issues; Run interference for non-critical unplanned work that may prevent the team from completing their work.
- Schedule and facilitate Team meetings including Planning, Daily meetings, Demos and Retrospectives to enable teams to plan and complete tasks based on the highest priority and the teams’ available capacity.
- Utilize appropriate tools, metrics and techniques to successfully guide the team’s progress against the Plan.
- Track milestones, deliverable and change requests
- Drive continuous improvement through the facilitation of team and leadership retrospectives, ensuring teams effectively prioritize, plan and execute on improvement ideas
Education:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in computer engineering, computer science, or related degree preferred.
