This position is responsible to carry out all functions related to dispatch, customer service, activity oversight. Types of service interactions can include but are not limited to Enforcement, Animal Care, wildlife, conflict resolution and emergency response functions of the organization. The Field Support Dispatchers are responsible for continuous, round-the-clock service and do so within the parameters of all laws, regulations, and procedures of the organization. The Field Support dispatchers maintain a positive and productive environment that supports collaborative relationships between departments and locations, with a focused approached to ensuring excellent care of animals, a high regard for the work of the Field Services department, and a respect for the humane treatment of animals.

· Understand Fulton County animal control ordinances and state laws regarding animals and prioritize calls in relation to officer response.
· Receive direct calls from the public, collecting all necessary information, follow-up with existing open calls, ensure that appropriate actions were taken, and process to close all bites when needed.
· Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
· Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries.
· Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
· Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations.
· Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
· Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements.
· Enter data in the computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, bites, and other information.
· Additional administrative tasks assigned to enhance and create efficiency within the department.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Advanced knowledge of state and county animal control ordinances and laws.
· Ability to prepare and maintain routine work records and reports.
· Valid, Georgia driver’s license and eligible for coverage under LifeLine’s auto insurance policy.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
· At least 1-year related experience including dispatch and/or customer service
· Able to proficiently use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
· Proficient computer skills for complex programs such as PetPoint, CAD, and Chameleon
· Ability to use office equipment such as scanners, computers, phones, etc.
· Must be available to work on some nights and weekends.
· Must pass background check and drug screening.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. One years’ experience in animal related field preferred.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read and interpret kennel policy guidelines and policies and procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively to kennel visitors and provide good customer services skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
· Valid, Georgia Drivers license may be required.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to a kennel that is not air-conditioned and may be exposed to unpleasant kennel smells. May have to handle dogs and cats that are stray, injured, diseased or vicious.
