GENERAL DISCUSSION OF RESPONSIBILITIES, MISSION, AND STRATEGY
This intermediate-level field position is responsible for testing, calibration, verification, preventative maintenance, installation, and repair services on a variety of equipment including portable cardiac monitor/defibrillators, infusion pumps, ventilators, suction units, patient movement equipment (Ex. Stretchers and Fastening Systems, Stair Chairs, etc.). As a service provider for a variety of customers, this position serves as a customer facing representative and expected to perform efficiently, effectively and represent LifeMed Safety in a professional manner.

· Provide on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, performance verifications, safety checks, calibrations, and software/hardware upgrades on supported equipment.
· Provide intermediate level of technical support and service work.
· Provide product support on-site and remotely via telephone.
· Responsible for following quality practices specified by LifeMed Safety and manufacturers.
· 25% of daily duties include managing/completing assigned work orders in LifeMed Safety’s Computerized Management System platform.
· Always maintain a professional appearance regarding dress and personal appearance as well as tools and equipment.
· Control and maintain all LifeMed Safety assets, including tools, parts, and test equipment needed to perform work tasks.
· Promote teamwork and cooperation between LifeMed Safety team members.
· Provide on-the-job support to entry-level technicians.
· Support and apply appropriate quality system processes.
· Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervisor/manager.

Minimum Education and Experience:
BMET Certification (Applicants must provide copy of current certification)
· CBET is a plus but not required.
· 2-4 years technical service experience.
· Valid and current driver license
· Ability to drive personal and/or rental vehicles.

· An associate degree or higher and/or trade school degree and
· 1 years technical experience (internship, externship, apprentice is acceptable).
· Valid and current driver license

· Military veterans and public safety providers (EMT, Firefighter, etc.) strongly encouraged to apply.
· CPR/AED, First Aid certification is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Extensive periods of sitting at a computer terminal documenting service.
· Extensive periods of sitting while traveling (driving or flying).
· Extensive periods of standing and walking while performing services.
· Frequent bending, squatting and stair climbing.
· Frequent climbing in (up) and out (down) of ambulances and fire apparatus.
· Frequent lying on back under an ambulance while performing services.
· Use of both hands without restriction and manipulate small hand tools.
· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
· Regional day and overnight travel required.

Salary : $40,000 - $75,000
