2025 SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM – Product Development
The LifeNet Health summer internship is a paid ($20/hour) program and includes project work that aligns with our mission Saving Lives, Restoring Health, and Giving Hope. The projects are designed to engage active learning, provide mentor relationships and leadership development over the course of a 10-week program. As a fun bonus, our interns are provided with 8 weeks of golf lessons and a set of clubs to use during the internship program with an end-of-program golf tournament!
The Product Development internship project will provide you with hands-on experience in a corporate science environment where you will be exposed to the multiple functions of the Product Development team to support the business and drive corporate initiatives.

Project Details/Training
- You will create a database that characterizes the compressibility of dermis from a wide range of donors at various points in the process.
- You assist with guiding process improvements that could result in improved yields as well as drive new product development activities for dermis in various applications
- You will investigate and/or verify a correlation between compressibility and parameters in dermis processing and product requirements, working with PD, Process Engineering and Operations.
- You will investigate dimensional stability (e.g. thickness) throughout the process and determine the impact of various solutions on swelling or shrinking.
- You must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biochemical Engineering.
- You must be a rising junior, senior, or a recent graduate pursuing a graduate degree.
- You must be available to commit to the 10-week program (June 2 – August 8), full-time, 40 hours/week.
