Develops and manages LifeSciences product development projects and interfaces with internal business stakeholders. Develops and commercializes new products and services. How You Will Contribute To LifeNet Health’s Success
The Vice President of Product Development, LifeSciences is responsible for corporate level strategic and resource planning for Life Sciences team, product development function and activities. Develops and manages LifeSciences product development projects and interfaces with internal business stakeholders. Develops and commercializes new products and services. Provides scientific assistance for divisional study efforts. Contributes to the development of intellectual property in support of the divisional project portfolio.
What You’ll Do
Development & Consultation
- Develops new Life Sciences products and processes. Investigates feasibility and validates potential product. Makes major contribution in the development of intellectual property in support of the divisional project portfolio. Assesses external technology for in-house application, potential licensing, or partner opportunities Advises and makes recommendations to CEO and CTO on LifeSciences technology and industry trends.
- Implements strategies, develops methodologies, and works collaboratively with cross functional teams for LifeSciences product developments and launches in accordance with business goals, budgets, and timelines to achieve corporate objectives. Leads multifunctional teams to plan and execute process validation, training, technology transfer and product launch
- Provides leadership, management, and support to Life Sciences product development team. Evaluates performance against meeting defined departmental performance matrixes. Provides scientific support and direction for technical staff, including guidance and project review
- Determines corporate level strategic and resource planning as well as project prioritization for LifeSciences new products and services. Assists CEO with new business opportunity assessments in LifeSciences.
- Experience: PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology
- 15 years in related industry experience in Life Sciences or biotechnology
- 10 years in senior leadership roles with direct management responsibilities.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects
- Commercialization of work products: Ability to develop new products or service
- Communication Skills: Written, verbal and presentation; ability to engage, inspire and influence people
- Leadership Skills: Ability to work within a matrixed organization and strong ability to lead a diverse team through change and growth
- Problem Solving: Leads thorough analysis of situations with appropriate attention to detail and the big picture including consideration of impact at multiple levels of the system
- Personal Effectiveness/Credibility: Making use of all the resources at your disposal to increase the acceptance of a message through influence
- Strategic Thinking: Strategic planning and interfacing throughout the product lifecycle especially for complex or critical products. Impact of regulatory changes on internal processes and products

Salary : $201,707 - $268,943
