Director of Business Services Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Master’s preferred, or closely related field and five (5) years’ experience with contract negotiation, creating business policies and supervision of staff. Familiarity with general business principles and procedures and best business practices.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day and long-term business affairs of LifePath, Inc. in cooperation with the COO, Finance Department, Facilities Department and Program and Administrative Directors.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee vendor negotiations to develop acceptable payment terms, best pricing, delivery
system and product quality & selection
2. Responsible for identifying new vendors and contractors for, but not limited to:
purchasing, vehicles, construction, property maintenance, utilities, contractors, lawn
maintenance/snow removal and equipment
3. Supervise and lead the efforts of the Purchasing Manager, Fleet Manager and Facilities
Manager.
4. Continually evaluate internal business practices to improve processes and procedures.
5. Review and approve contract and agreements and oversee resolutions for disputes with
vendors.
6. Identify and establish various leasing or financing sources to obtain best available rates
and terms for vehicles, properties and equipment.
7. Serve as an organizational leader on the LifePath Management Team.
8. Negotiate the purchase/lease price of new properties and oversee lease renewals on a
regular basis
9. Establish timetables with Directors, realtors, Facilities Manager/Building & Grounds
Supervisors, and legal counsel to coordinate the settlement and move in date of new or
replacement facilities.
10. Review and approve bids/contracts for work to be performed on LifePath properties in
conjunction with Facilities Manager and Director.
11. Oversee adherence to vehicle acquisition and loan procedures.
12. Provide programs with sources for disposal of assets that will ensure highest liquidation
value.
13. Review and negotiate LifePath’s insurance needs for, but not limited to, general
liability, vehicle, D & O, property umbrella coverage and Workers’ Compensation.
14. Provide insurance endorsements, additions, deletions, and certificates.
15. Provide liability and vehicular claim processing.
16. Assist accounts payable with review and approval on reoccurring invoices billing such
as utilities, maintenance agreements, cable/internet, and purchase services. Coordinate
approval with Facilities Manager for larger, specific projects.
17. Ensure product rebates and credits (vehicle and equipment) are processed and collected.
18. Assist with overall banking needs and relationships
19. Be knowledgeable with all office buildings systems.
20. Process all PTO requests and maintain a calendar of all scheduled and unscheduled time
off.
21. Ensure adherence to applicable federal, state and county laws, regulations, and policies.
22. Ensure vendor and contractor credentialing for federal exclusions.
23. Contact landlords to discuss coordination of projects and responsibilities as outlined in
leases.
24. Renew existing agreements for all applicable vendors according to renewal terms.
25. Participate in committee meetings as recommended by the CFO.
