- Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date
- One (1) year experience in acute hospital setting preferred
- Successfully complete Phlebotomy Training within 90 days of hire date.
- Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
- Completion of Team Nursing Education course.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Language Skills : Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Department / Unit Summary
- 12 Bed Unit
- 1 : 6 Patient Ratio
- 10-12-day LOS
- Patients receive therapy daily, participate in activities and communal meals
- Therapy staff has a large presence on this unit as well and works collaboratively with nursing.
- Option to work every 6th weekend, no mandatory overtime (three shifts per week only)
- Extremely flexible scheduling options
- Provider coverage on unit to provide nursing support 24 / 7
