Lifesaving Systems is the global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of Helicopter and Marine Rescue Equipment.
We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic and self-directed purchaser/procurement specialist to join our team.
Lifesaving Systems manufactures and sells hundreds of individual products that are made from utilizing over 4,500 parts, raw material types, and outside processes. All are tracked in the company’s ERP System. These components and the data that surrounds them require the full time and attention of a Purchasing and Procurement Specialist to ensure the integrity of our supply chain and to manage the risks in supply chain shortages.
In this position you will work as the only purchasing and procurement specialist onsite to independently to monitor and maintain inventory by preparing purchase orders and soliciting bid requests; add received goods to inventory; maintain information systems and historical references.
This job is onsite in the front office of our manufacturing facility. Hours are Mon-Thurs 7:30 am-5pm ; Fridays 7:30 am - 11:30 am.

Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Creating, reviewing and analyzing purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Evaluating opportunities to procure inventory that may be the best quality at the best price for the company.
- Processing purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.
- Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
- Interact closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues.
- Provides information by answering questions and requests; making copies; updating and generating reports.
Skills/Qualifications:

- 2 years experience buying in a manufacturing environment
- Prior independent decision-making in a purchaser/procurement role
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Experience with ERP software desired
