We are currently seeking a skilled IT Project Manager, the candidate will be required to be onsite in Melbourne, FL. Relocation expenses will not be covered by the employer or client, they are the candidate's responsibility if they are selected for this role. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience working with DOD clients. Manage and lead project teams in the execution of aerospace, defense, or spaceforce projects, ensuring all deliverables meet customer specifications and deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, track progress and report on project status to stakeholders.
- Oversee project execution from inception to completion, including risk management, procurement, and quality control.
- Serve as the main point of contact for government or military clients, providing updates and resolving any issues that arise.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure seamless project implementation and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including government and spaceforce standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, managing resources and personnel effectively.
- Assist with proposal development and cost estimation for future projects.
- Manage resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees.
- Coordinate project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities.
- Conduct risk assessments for projects.
- Organize meetings to discuss project goals and progress.
- Candidate needs to have strong communication skills, both oral and written, with excellent interpersonal, team and organization skills.
- This candidate must be able to clearly define tasking, communicate topics to leadership through concise and succinct presentations, to organize meeting preparation materials.
- Conduct reviews of architecture and design documents for resiliency and security considerations, engaging with platform teams to ensure effective risk mitigation
- Proactively identify, document, and address infrastructure risks by coordinating with the right stakeholders
- Additional responsibilities as requested by the client/manager.
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of project management experience, with 1-3 years working with DOD clients and projects.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and security requirements.
- Ability to acquire a Secret Security clearance. And acquire and maintain government identification/common access card (CAC). Preferred if candidates currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance or higher
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. Please note that any usage and detection of cannabis with or without a prescription will result in a failed clearance regardless of the legalization under State Laws.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.
- Experience managing the administration, development and implementation of a product or program, including working with stakeholders, driving timelines, flagging/tracking risks, managing unanticipated changes to plan.
- Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, network administration and service desk administration.
- Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during project completion.
- Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.).
- The candidate must have strong knowledge of MS Office products to include PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong expertise in data management, data science, cloud, and networking infrastructure
- Proficiency in NIST cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessments, and network security best practices
- Ability to interface with subcontractors, technical teams, and government stakeholders
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to senior management
- Strong collaboration, team-building and mentoring abilities
- Ability to develop executive-level documentation, manage risk logs, and handle nuanced stakeholder needs
- Skilled at evaluating estimates, challenging timelines, breaking tasks down, writing requirements and optimizing delivery schedules
- Being onsite during normal business hours and the being able to report back within one hour after notification when contract performance occurs outside normal duty hours.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Business or related disciplines preferred or a technically related field OR equivalent related work experience in a multi-site software services environment, OR related project management experience.
Certifications:
- PMP Project Management Professional (Preferred)
