Are you an experienced IT professional looking for a hands-on role where your work makes a real impact on local businesses? MainSail Data, a well-established (2005) MSP based in Vero Beach, Florida, is seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, in-person position supporting small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) across the Treasure Coast.
About the Role:This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their day — solving problems both at a desk and in the field. You'll be working closely with our clients to manage their IT environments, perform system maintenance, troubleshoot user issues, and deploy new infrastructure. This includes everything from Microsoft 365 management to server and workstation roll-outs, as well as providing expert customer support to vertical-specific software users.
What You’ll Be Doing:· Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage user accounts, mailboxes, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and licensing. Support migrations, tenant setup, and ongoing user support.
· Active Directory & Server Infrastructure: Handle domain joins, GPOs, OU structures, DNS, DHCP, and basic server maintenance (Windows Server 2012 R2 and newer). Support domain controller deployments, replication, and workstation integration.
· Workstation & Hardware Deployment: Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices. Manage Windows 10/11 installation and imaging, BIOS updates, and driver installs.
· On-Site Technical Support: Visit client sites for issue resolution, equipment installs, network troubleshooting, and hands-on diagnostics.
· Helpdesk & End User Support: Handle incoming tickets for everything from basic support to critical issues, escalating as needed.
· Vertical Software & Industry-Specific Applications: Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for software common to dental, medical, legal, and other industries.
· Network Troubleshooting: Basic to intermediate support of firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
What We’re Looking For:· Solid experience in IT support, preferably within a managed service provider or multi-client environment
· Comfort with Microsoft 365 administration, especially email and Teams
· Familiarity with Active Directory, domain joins, and group policies
· Hands-on experience with desktop/laptop setup and troubleshooting
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. A company vehicle is provided for business-related travel. (travel to client sites is required)
Nice to Have (but We’ll Train the Right Person):· Experience with ticketing systems (like ConnectWise, Autotask, etc.)
· Exposure to remote monitoring and management systems, antivirus, and backup solutions
· Understanding of HIPAA-compliant environments, especially in healthcare and dental practices
