RISE Custom Solutions, a division of LifeScape has a full-time opportunity available for an OT/PT Cranial Specialist in the pediatric setting, working exclusively with infants in one-on-one family sessions. If you're looking for a new challenge and want to specialize in treating infants with plagiocephaly and torticollis, this is the place for you. This is a unique opportunity to treat patients in a child-friendly, collaborative, multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic in Sioux Falls, SD.
You will work with a team of experts to treat infants and toddlers, using the STARband, to correct abnormal head shapes. Pediatricians and parents alike look to our Clinicians as the expert in diagnosis and treatment of plagiocephaly. Our treating Clinicians develop great relationships with our families at every stage of their treatment process.
A successful candidate will possess background knowledge of symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis and infant/toddler development, as well as hands on patient care and compassion for families as well as their capability to treat the whole patient.
This position requires a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and must be able to complete an ABC approved orthotic fitter pre-certification education course and complete 500 hours of orthotic fitting experience within the first six (6) months of hire date. Preferred candidates will have at least one year of clinical experience working in a pediatric setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Passion for working with infants and their families and take great pride in being the best at cranial remolding in the area
- Technical competence to use computers and STARband and SMARTSoc softwares utilized by RISE Custom Solutions
- Ability to work with hands, including good visual capabilities to assess symmetry.
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Knowledge of electronic medical documentation, charting, and reimbursement practices

Requirements
Education and Experience
Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy from an accredited school and current licensure in the state of South Dakota is required. An American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) orthotic fitter pre-certification education course, as well as 500 hours of orthotic fitting experience must be completed within the first six months of start date. One or more years of clinical experience working in a pediatric setting is preferred.
