LifeSpring Health System is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist for the Jerffersonville office location. Duties include acting as a mentor to individuals to promote decision making, empowerment and engagement. Acts as a liaison between individuals, clinical team and community resources. Provides peer support to clinically complex client, drawing on common experiences as a peer, validates individuals’ experiences and provides guidance and encouragement to promote individuals to take responsibility and actively participate in their own recovery. The Peer Recovery Specialist will provide services to individuals ages 14-30 with a severe mental illness through individual and group modalities. Potential candidates should be comfortable working with individuals with dual diagnosis and must possess a Peer Recovery Specialist Certification or a willingness to obtain one. Candidates must have excellent personal and professional boundaries and be committed to person-centered, trauma-informed care. Computer skills are required; experience working with Electronic Medical Records desired.
