What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Office Receptionist position at LifeSpring Pediatrics?
- To process patients efficiently and to ensure the fluidity of practice operations by providing office organizational support.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Check voicemail
- Prepare for the day’s scheduled patients (labels, assembling paperwork, check insurance, etc.)
- Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments
- Call patients who are overdue for checkups
- Responsible for patient check-in/out & scheduling next appointments
- Upload medical documents to patient charts
- Collect patient payments & reconcile payments at the close of business each day
- Follow up on pending records requests weekly
- Participate in monthly staff meetings & weekly front office meetings to increase office efficiency
- Interpreting as necessary
- All other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish is required
- Commitment to the Mission and Vision of LifeSpring Community Health
- Experience with urban culture preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Docs; ability to quickly learn other computer software
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as a team and remain task-focused individually
- Ability to work evening and weekend rotations
