Job Summary:
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing advanced life support and basic life support emergency medical care to patients in need. As a Critical Care Specialist with our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced life support treatment to patients in emergency situations.
- Safely operate ambulances and other company vehicles and equipment.
- Transport sick and injured persons to medical facilities while providing basic and advance life support treatment.
- Ensure that all patients receive emergency medical treatment within the scope of your skills, training, and certification.
- Comply with all applicable state, local, and federal regulations and laws related to protocols, standards of care, motor vehicle operations, and patient rights.
Requirements:
- A valid, current Maryland Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification.
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- The ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, medical personnel, and the general public.
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Work Environment:
This role requires frequent work in outside weather conditions and occasional work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. You must be able to safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences, and other locations. Maintaining a clean and complete uniform, personal hygiene, and professional demeanor to all persons with whom you come in contact while on duty is essential.
