To succeed in this role, you must have a valid, current Maryland Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, family members, medical personnel, and the general public. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college coursework or a degree preferred.
Work Environment:
This role requires frequent work in outside weather conditions and occasional work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. You must be able to safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences, and other locations. You must also be able to effectively communicate with patients, family members, medical personnel, and the general public in verbal and written form.
