POSITION SUMMARY:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of goods throughout supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products by coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, managing orders, and resolving any logistics issues that may arise, all while adhering to company policies and regulations; essentially acting as the central point of contact for all aspects of product distribution from suppliers to customers.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Order processing - Receiving and processing customer orders, verifying accuracy of details, and creating shipping documents.

Inventory management - Monitoring stock levels, coordinating inventory replenishment, and managing warehouse space (stocking to staging).

Shipment coordination - Arranging transportation with carriers, negotiating rates (if applicable), and booking shipments to meet delivery deadlines.

Tracking shipments - Monitoring shipment progress (track, trace, update), resolving delivery issues, and communicating updates to customers (internal/external).

Compliance - Ensuring proper documentation and compliance internally/externally for all shipments, including international shipments (to include customs regulations).

Cost analysis - Identifying cost-saving opportunities within the logistics process to meet or exceed transportation budget expectations.

Vendor management - Maintaining relationships with suppliers and carriers, to include evaluating their performance.

Data entry and reporting - Maintaining accurate records in logistics systems (WMS, ERP), generating reports on shipment metrics and KPIs.

Collaborates and Communicates - with order pullers/pickers, loaders, customer service representatives, quality personnel, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information related to the shipment/receipt of materials.

Training(s) - conducts, participates, and completes (successfully) all assigned trainings.

Continuous Improvement - provide feedback for continuous business, department, and team development.

Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration is preferred OR 3-5 years’ experience in the field of logistics.

Problem-solving - Identifying and resolving logistics challenges such as delays, damaged goods, or incorrect deliveries.

Strong organizational skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Excellent communication skills - Clear and concise communication with internal teams, customers, and carriers

Attention to detail - Ensuring accuracy in all aspects of logistics processes.

Proficiency in logistics software - Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP, and transportation management systems (TMS)

Analytical skills - Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.

Typical Working Environment: Work will be primarily in a temperature-controlled office setting. Portion

of work time will be spent in production areas requiring the wearing of safety equipment and dealing with constant equipment in motion and high noise levels.


Equipment Used:

  • Forklift, riding or walk-behind electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks.
  • Office Equipment: Computer, Keyboard, Copier, Fax Machine.
  • Communication Equipment: Cell Phone, Landline Phone.

Essential Physical Tasks:

  • Walking, standing, and bending.
  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequent and extended periods of looking at a computer screen and typing on a keyboard.
  • Frequent cell phone and land line telephone use.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Salary : $38,000 - $55,000
