What You'll Be Doing
- Leadership: Supervise and support maintenance, custodial, and facility-related teams, making sure they have the resources they need to keep everything running smoothly.
- Facility Planning: Develop and implement long-term maintenance and improvement plans for multiple locations.
- Collaboration: Serve as the agency's representative to architects and professionals involved in capital projects and facility-related services.
- Project Management: Oversee renovation and construction projects, ensuring safety and minimizing disruptions to daily operations.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure accurate records and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including fire safety, OSHA standards, and more.
- Budget Management: Take charge of the department's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Development: Hire and mentor staff, ensuring performance evaluations and required training are completed, promoting professional development and growth.
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of facilities management experience, with 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare, non-profit, or human services setting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
- Certification & License: Valid New York State Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and handle physical tasks as needed.
