Job Description:
As the Optical Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading our optical department, ensuring the smooth operation of the office while maintaining excellent patient care standards. You will manage day-to-day tasks, supervise the optical team, and collaborate with other departments to ensure our patients receive top-notch services. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a well-established practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the optical team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service for all patients, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Assist with patient eyewear fittings, lens selection, and frame adjustments.
- Manage inventory and order optical products as needed.
- Collaborate with the optometrists and other staff to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized optical area, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Stay current with optical trends, products, and technology to better serve our patients.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, patient records, and insurance verifications.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an optical environment is preferred, but not required.
- Leadership experience or a desire to develop leadership skills is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of optical terminology, lenses, and eyewear products is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
