The most important characteristics in order to be successful are being outgoing, self-motivated, goal driven and genuinely enjoy helping people. You must also be comfortable working in all commission position and able to obtain a P&C insurance license within 30 days. If you are the type of person that finds yourself making friends wherever you go this may be a position that you could thrive in.

The majority of your leads will need to be generated on your own so having a large network is essential to being successful.
