Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm, No Weekends
Four ten hour shifts available, day off negotiable based on team needs and planning discussions.

As an SUD Clinician with LifeWays, you’ll play a vital role in evaluating, supporting, and connecting individuals to essential mental health and substance use disorder resources. Guided by our mission, vision, and values, you’ll provide culturally competent and trauma-informed care to ensure that every individual feels welcomed and supported on their journey toward recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Care: Utilize established criteria and Level of Care determination tools to assess eligibility and needs for community mental health and CCBHC services.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate, empathetic interventions for individuals presenting in crisis, including safety planning and connecting to appropriate resources.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain compliance with Michigan Mission-Based Performance Indicator System (MIMBPIS).
- Customer-Centered Approach: Welcome individuals with empathy and understanding, ensuring they feel heard and supported in describing their challenges and difficulties.
- Resource Coordination: For individuals not eligible for CMHSP services, connect them with community resources while ensuring they receive clear written information about their rights and available services.
- Efficient Operations: Perform various departmental duties to maintain smooth operations, including Open Access, Rapid Access, REMI screenings, specialty assessments, and waitlist management.
- Crisis Services Backup: Provide support to Access and Crisis Services teams as needed.

Required Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Clinician I: Master's degree. Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker (LLMSW), Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP).
- Clinician II: Master's degree. Fully Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Fully Licensed Psychologist (LP).
- Clinician III: Master's degree. Fully Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Fully Licensed Psychologist (LP) and is paneled/credentialed to bill for a variety of private insurances or is fully trained/certified to provide licensure supervision within their education and scope of practice.
- Must possess a valid U.S. motor vehicle operator's license, and successfully complete motor vehicle record check.
