To direct and oversee the residential services in the assigned programs assuring the effective delivery of services specified in each individual's Individual Support Plan. Complies with all principles of Human Rights, D.P.P.C., Department of Developmental Services, the Division of Medical Assistance and all other applicable funding regulations as adhered to by Lifeworks.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
Manages assigned Program Managers who supervise employees in the Residential Programs. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these programs. Also, directly supervises the non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or bachelor’s degree and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write and proofread routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and present effectively before individuals or employees of an organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Vehicle and Travel:
Requires a legally insured and inspected automobile for use to be presented at work and available for use during working hours. If the program has an agency vehicle, staff are expected to drive it as needed.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Valid and current driver’s license from the state of residency, CPR, First Aid and Medical Administration certification.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Under the guidance of the CEO or designee, formulate residential program goals and objectives, policies, procedures, budgets, staffing needs, travel and in-service training.
- Supervise and develop staff members; evaluate job performance, establish objectives for performance enhancement, and provide opportunities for professional advancement.
- Prepare program budget and contracts under supervision of the CEO or designee; Review program expenses on a regular basis, make recommendations for necessary repairs, facility improvements and equipment purchases. Monitor adherence to budgetary guidelines and adjust as required.
- Assures accurate and timely recording and submission of staff payroll information.
- Oversee the documentation of all significant incidents involving individuals in assigned programs, including medication errors.
- Assures the regular and accurate collection and collation of data for purposes of program outcome measurement systems, including the completion of a system to measure consumer satisfaction at each assigned program.
- Oversees maintenance of assigned residential facilities and property, vehicles and equipment; regularly visits assigned programs.
- Assures compliance with applicable DDS, town, state and federal licensing authorities.
- Assist the CEO or designee in establishing new residential programs including attending bidder conferences and writing proposals.
- Participates as a member of the Lifeworks Management Team working to enhance communication and effective delivery of services to individuals across all programs.
- To chair and participate in various committees as designated by the CEO or designee.
- Provide off-duty 24-hour on call coverage on a regularly scheduled, alternating basis.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned by CEO or designee.
