WORK Inc., is seeking applications for a Director of Residential Services
Position: Director of Residential Services – Central Division (Quincy, Weymouth and Milton, MA)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Overview:
WORK Inc. is seeking a candidate to provide leadership to a program model that includes the provision of residential services out of the home. Reporting to the VP of Residential Services, Director of Residential Services will oversee well-established homes that support individuals with developmental disabilities and Autism. Working collaboratively with clinical and programmatic staff, the Director will provide oversight and direction for 4 residential programs.
This position carries high accountability for results and outcomes, requiring a deep understanding of how one's efforts, results, and attitude impact others. The role encompasses overall management responsibility, including supervising house managers, promoting choice and self-determination, managing the division's budget, facilitating social integration, and maintaining a respectful, home-like environment where program participants are treated with dignity.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in a supervisory role and the desire to improve the quality of life for program participants.
Hours:
This position offers a 37.5hrs weekly schedule with after-hours on-call responsibilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Residential Services’ essential duties/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the information listed below:
- Coordination and supervision of all assigned Group Homes.
- Works collaboratively with the Clinical team and the Health Services team to ensure the health and well-being of all individuals.
- Recruitment, hiring and management of program staff.
- Orienting, training and ongoing supervision and evaluation of staff.
- Overseeing development and implementation of Individual Service Plans and Essential Lifestyle Plans.
- Providing 24-hour emergency contact coverage and managing the emergency responses in coordination with health and clinical teams.
- Ensures that the department is achieving goals set by Office of Quality Enhancement, the Department of Developmental Services, CARF, department goals and objectives and by the Agency’s mission statement and strategic plan.
- Managing all facilities to ensure that they are comfortable, attractive, safe, and well maintained.
- Serves as a liaison between the Department of Developmental Services, family members, guardians, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of Personnel Policies for the department.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work or related field or will accept bachelor’s degree with 2 years supervisory experience.
- Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and an acceptable safe driving record. Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary : $67,002
