Service Writer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Writer located at our Williamsport branch. The Service Writer is responsible for writing service quotes, following up and scheduling approved quotes, as well as maintaining the quote log. This role acts as a liaison between the company and the customer by coordinating the transaction.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for communicating with customers via phone and email to obtain all necessary information from customers to generate quotes
- Responsible for satisfying customer inquiries in a timely manner via phone or email
- Tracking repairs and questions regarding warranties
- Perform data entry and data management
- Maintain daily quote log
- All other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be over the age of 18
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of automotive experience
- Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience
- Minimum of one (1) year experience with Microsoft Office and computer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in an office setting
- Positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow team members
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Good organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Must work accurately and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task on projects
Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, as well as walk short distances
- Must be able to lift or exert a force of up to 25 pounds with an occasional need to lift or exert up to and sometimes over 50 pounds
