Account Manager
Job Summary:
The Account Manager will focus on implementing solution-oriented sales strategies to expand business with both new and existing clients. You will have the chance to develop new business opportunities across all product lines within a designated geographic area.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Engages with prospective clients to assess their requirements and recommends suitable equipment, products, or services to fulfill those needs.
- Work together with the sales team, which includes account managers, coordinators, and sales managers, to accomplish business objectives that address those requirements.
- Strategically organize and oversee the designated territory to optimize revenue opportunities
- Build and foster meaningful business relationships
- Ensure high quality customer satisfaction and retention
- Utilize relevant sales techniques, programs, and marketing resources, such as cold calling, prospecting, networking, and market insights
- Submit weekly/monthly reports, including call logs for prospects and existing customers
- Delivers precise and timely forecasts, proposals, order documentation, and necessary paperwork
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Must be able to safely operate forklifts and other equipment
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 5 years of sales experience strongly preferred
- Experience within the material handling industry strongly preferred
- Territory Management experience Strongly Preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Must be able to work safely in areas with potential exposure to cold/hot temperatures, noise pollution, dust, solvents, fuels, and battery acid.
