What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Maintenance Technician position at Lift Up Trucking?
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Technician to maintain the grounds, plants, and grass at the Center for Army Analysis. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and a passion for creating and sustaining professional outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shrubs and Hedges:
- Prune and maintain shrubs and hedges three times annually (spring, summer, fall) for health and appearance.
- Refresh and replace mulch beds twice a year (spring and fall).
- Manually or mechanically remove weeds within mulch and shrub beds (chemical treatments not allowed).
- Planted Areas and Decorative Beds:
- Maintain ground cover plants and decorative trees to ensure visual appeal.
- Refresh mulch and edge/plume plants twice a year.
- Remove weeds within boundaries manually or mechanically.
- Grass Areas:
- Conduct core aeration in the fall to support healthy grass growth.
- Debris Removal:
- Remove lawn waste, clippings, and debris during maintenance activities.
- Provide fall cleanup to clear natural and manmade debris (leaves, pine needles, etc.).
- Dispose of all waste off-site in compliance with local regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscaping.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent schedule.
- Access to Fort Belvoir (must meet entry requirements).
- Strong knowledge of plant health and environmentally friendly maintenance practices.
Work Hours: 0600 – 1000 EST
or
1000-1400 EST
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
