Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to improving the well-being of individuals and families in need. This role involves providing support, resources, and guidance to clients facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, and family dynamics. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with community organizations and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Duties
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and support for individuals dealing with addiction, mental health issues, or crises.
- Facilitate access to resources such as Medicare, Section 8 housing assistance, and childcare services.
- Supervise case management activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Engage in workforce development initiatives to assist clients in gaining employment skills.
- Mentor clients through challenging situations, promoting self-sufficiency and resilience.
- Collaborate with other social service agencies to coordinate care and services for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with agency policies.
Requirements
- A degree in Social Work or a related field is required; licensure as a Social Worker, LPC, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist required.
- Experience in crisis management and child welfare is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple cases effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with community resources and services available for clients is beneficial.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.58 - $26.87 per hour
