Position Details:
- Location: Washington, DC
- Clearance: U.S. Citizenship; Preference for candidates who are already cleared for Secret/Top Secretclearance - this clearance is a requirement for the position
Solution Design and Development
- Implement the full software development lifecycle for ServiceNow custom applications and capabilities
- Customize ServiceNow applications and lead the rollout of new applications and modules
- Provide ServiceNow integration support with external systems and data sources
- Follow Agile methodologies to plan, develop, and deliver ServiceNow capabilities
- Create and manage workflows, business rules, and scripts
- Configure application User Interface (UI), including defining data tables, APIs, and user interfaces for ServiceNow applications
- Develop scripts and automation for Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, and other functionalities
- Collaborate with business users to understand and document current and future business processes
- Provide technical expertise on all questions related to assigned development on the ServiceNow platform
- Work effectively in dynamic environments, communicating clearly with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and meet requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of ServiceNow development experience
- At least 5 years of platform development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, or other programming languages
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities, including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Reports, Incident Management, and Knowledge Base
- Familiarity with ITSM principles and integration of solutions within complex IT infrastructures
- Ability to communicate effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or ServiceNow Developer Certification
- Experience developing custom reports using business intelligence (BI) tools
- Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM frameworks and best practices
- Proven ability to handle large datasets and perform data modeling for decision-making
