Head Varsity Volleyball Coach

Job Overview

Lighthouse Christian Academy is seeking an ambitious, competitive, and godly Volleyball Coach to lead our team in both athletic excellence and spiritual growth. This role is more than just coaching—it’s about discipleship, character building, and shaping young athletes into leaders on and off the court.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement training programs that enhance both skill development and godly character in athletes.
• Conduct structured, engaging, and disciplined practices that focus on individual growth and team strategies.
• Evaluate player performance and provide encouraging, constructive feedback to promote improvement.
• Model and instill Christ-like sportsmanship, humility, and perseverance in all players.
• Organize and oversee competitive matches, ensuring athletes honor the game, their opponents, and their school.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team progress, schedules, and expectations.
• Maintain a safe, structured training environment by ensuring proper equipment usage and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Experience coaching volleyball or other competitive team sports, with a strong understanding of game strategies and techniques.
• Passion for working with young athletes in a Christian school setting and integrating biblical principles into coaching.
• Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills to inspire student-athletes.
• Commitment to upholding LCA’s mission and values, both on and off the court.
• Ability to engage in physical activity related to coaching duties, including demonstrating techniques and participating in drills.
• Prior experience in athletics, mentoring, or youth ministry is a plus.
