What are the responsibilities and job description for the Association Services Coordinator position at Lighthouse Consulting Group Inc.?
We are looking for an association coordinator to join our team. Our office is in Warren, RI where we meet as a team once a month. The other days can either be remote or in the office. We are a dynamic team that supports the day-to-day operations of several client trade associations and their events. To be successful you must possess a strong administrative aptitude, organizational and logistical capabilities and excellent customer service and response skills. Individuals must be a clear thinker and have the interpersonal skills to be successful in a small multi-client office environment. Event planning, training, and/or marketing experience is a plus. This is 20 hours work schedule in a work friendly and flexible environment. Some travel throughout the year is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with the marine trades, specifically the boatyard and marina sectors preferred.
Illustrative duties and responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate the delivery of an annual work plan that serves as the agreement between Lighthouse and the client for product and service delivery.
- Engage with a board of directors to set organizational direction, measure success, and make necessary adjustments to achieve the board’s overall goals.
- Coordinate our internal process for developing and delivering events and training for the client, ensuring that we are achieving revenue targets.
- Prepare and implement a marketing plan in coordination with our in-house marketing team to promote the program.
- Work with teammates to develop and execute an overall membership growth plan that leverages the success of the client’s events and training programs.
- Work with teammates to develop and execute an overall marketing and promotional strategy to increase the client’s visibility and increase membership and attendance at events and training.
- Develop and coordinate other tasks and follow-up as required by the Board.
- Be responsible to Lighthouse President for overall success of the client.
Preferred Experiential Proficiency
- Experience with volunteer board of directors and association members
- Pertinent background experience in the marine trades, specifically the boatyard and marina sectors
- Understanding of how events and training programs are developed and delivered, including marketing and evaluation.
- Demonstrated success in increasing course and event attendance and expanding the association’s value proposition for its members.

- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, InDesign by Creative Suites, and Constant Contact preferred.
