What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Parent position at Lighthouse Family Youth Agency?
We're looking for a self-motivated, responsible and caring professional who loves taking care of children as part of our new House Parent program. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, including managing staff, communicating with parents and thoroughly administering daily routines and special programs. We have an exciting opportunity for a House Parent who is ready to take on a wide range of responsibilities that will ensure the best quality care possible for our students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide meals, oversee daily chores, and maintain the living space.
- Provide a safe and supportive family environment for up to 10 children and teens.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for children, including ensuring the health and safety of all residents of the home.
- Oversee medical care for children in the home, including daily administration of medication such as asthma inhalers.
- Oversee psychotherapy care for children in the home, including evening and weekend appointments.
- Monitor children's daily attendance at school, appointments, and job placements.
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities in a confidential file in the home.
- Supervise up to four other staff members who are also house parents or clinical staff members.

Pay: $12,800.00 - $32,200.00 per year

Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
