A local accounting and finance firm is seeking a Bookkeeper to assist with daily operations in a dynamic family office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, keen attention to detail, and outstanding communication abilities. Maintaining client confidentiality is essential, as well as the capability to engage with a diverse client base.
The selected candidate will report directly to management.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Proficient in QuickBooks software (both online and desktop versions)
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ensure accurate maintenance of journal entries and essential financial records in compliance with accounting practices
- Perform reconciliation of bank accounts within QuickBooks
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and procedures, along with sales tax reporting and filing payroll forms
- General knowledge of personal and business tax returns (note: tax preparation is not required)
The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, capable of following verbal and written directions, and proficient in managing incoming phone calls, in-person client interactions, and emails. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
This position offers a flexible schedule, starting part-time with the potential for full-time work. Please note that remote work is not currently available.
