JOB TITLE: Assistant Buyer - Berkeley
REPORTS TO: Procurement Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: Position will be responsible for assisting Buyer/Planner in all aspects of purchasing materials and receiving materials.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews all purchase orders to ensure accuracy of quantities/pricing. Contacts vendors to confirm delivery of raw materials and expedite where necessary.
- Utilizes NAV to update P.O. dates so that Production/Supply Chain has visibility of expected receipts.
- Coordinates with Accounts Payable and Shipping/Receiving to resolve any issues that may come up with billing and/or incoming material.
- Work with other departments when needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Must be skilled in working in a team environment.
- Good computer and inventory control skills.
- Excellent communication skills with vendors through email and phone.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma required.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
