Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to provide high-quality care to critically ill newborns. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level I Trauma Center and possess a strong background in medication administration, basic life support, and caring for infants with special needs. This role requires excellent clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Assess and monitor the health status of neonates in the NICU.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide basic life support and advanced care as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate parents and caregivers on infant care, including toddler care techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the NICU.
- Assist with procedures such as injections and sonography when required.
- Support patients with disabilities by providing tailored nursing interventions.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and basic life support certification.
- Experience with geriatric care is a plus.
- Familiarity with caring for infants with disabilities is desirable.
- Ability to perform tasks related to operating room (OR) procedures is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
