Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' behavioral needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to support clients in achieving their goals.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, fostering a safe environment for open communication.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and self-efficacy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and any significant changes in behavior.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including home community care when necessary.
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in behavioral health, particularly related to PTSD care and developmental disabilities.
- Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation as needed.
Experience
- A background in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to conduct individual and group counseling sessions effectively.
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or PTSD care is a plus.
- Strong research skills to stay updated on current trends in behavioral health practices.
