Housekeeping Manager
Job Summary
The Housekeeping Manager is an on-site seasonal May through October position and is responsible for managing all housekeeping on a daily basis. As a Housekeeping Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence in cleanliness and ensuring the highest standards of service. You will lead by example, inspire and motivate your team to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.
Reports to
General Manager
Education and Experience
· High School diploma and three years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must be proficient in usage of computer software and various Windows-based programs.
· Proven ability to effectively instruct and coach staff regarding proper procedures is required.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
· Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift and move about the property.
Qualification Requirements:
- Three years progressive experience in the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of public area management.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling and following OSHA requirements.
- Ability to provide legible communication.
- Prior experience in payroll management.
- Ability to control expenses in accordance with the budget.
- Prior experience developing and maintaining a housekeeping training program.
- Ability to motivate all team members.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and prior PMS experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English.
