Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a respected small community hospital in Wooster, OH, to find a dedicated Pathologists' Assistant for a full-time day shift position. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join a close-knit team and contribute to the hospital's commitment to high-quality patient care. The position offers a consistent schedule from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, providing a great work-life balance in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Essential Functions :
- Dictates complete and accurate gross description.
- Performs frozen sections and maintains the cryostats
- Performs surgical specimen dissection on simple to complex specimens and provides quality material for routine histology studies and other specialized tests as required
- Disposes of tissues and reagents according to standard operating procedures
- Performs and documents quality control
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance processes according to standard operating procedures
