What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach and Development Specialist position at Lighthouse Recovery Community Center Inc?
This is a full-time Outreach and Development Specialist reporting to the Executive Director supporting the implementation of a strategic approach to community outreach and development. The primary areas of focus ofthe role are increasing awareness of Lighthouse Recovery Community Center’s mission, and goals within the community and development and maintenance of community relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Organize activities and strategies as assigned.
· Research potential community outreach opportunities.
· Identify and contact potential community partners.
· Coordinate community outreach opportunities.
· Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential community stakeholders.
· Implement effective marketing and communication strategies with a focus on relationship building.
· Represent the organization on community boards, committees, task forces, etc. that strive to help improve conditions for our population.
· Development of marketing materials to increase impact.
· Assist and lead fundraising events, as assigned.
- Evaluate the success of previous community events, making changes as needed.
- Development and maintenance of a community resource directory
· Develop and train an actively engaged volunteer base.
· Development of recovery events at LRCC South and in community
· Review and distribute content of social media posts, videos, presentation decks and webinars.
- Monitor social media traffic to measure the public's perception of the company's brand.
- Give feedback on the quality of emails, social media posts and the company's landing page.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to relate to community leaders and diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Solution-focused decision-making and problem-solving
- High school diploma; additional qualification in marketing/fund raising a plus.
- Solid time-management abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite (particularly MS Word and MS Excel)
- Familiarity with office equipment (such as printers and fax machines)
