Counter Person

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our establishment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in grocery stores, cafés, or quick service fast food restaurants. You will be responsible for interacting with customers, taking orders, and managing transactions efficiently.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their orders.
• Accurately take and process customer orders using a POS system, preferably Aloha POS.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area and dining space.
• Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring basic math skills are applied effectively.
• Assist in bussing tables and maintaining a tidy environment for patrons.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders.
• Provide recommendations to customers based on menu offerings.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a grocery store, kitchen, café, or quick service fast food restaurant is preferred.
• Basic math skills to handle transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to enhance customer interactions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $15.13 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
