What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAX - Network Engineer position at Lighthouse Technology Services?
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Network Engineer position! This is a 12 month contract opportunity based in Rochester, NY and can be REMOTE in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Execution of operational tasks across several network and security platforms.
- New Generation Security Appliances : Proficiently / proactively patch Palo Alto appliances, investigate, and deploy firewall configuration / rule changes.
- Network Load Balancing Platform : Proficiently / proactively patch F5 appliances, investigate, and deploy configuration / rule changes.
- Unified Communications : Perform patching and SW / FW upgrades as needed per PCI program requirements. Hands-on experience with Cisco proprietary Voice / UC platforms / components.
- L2 and L3 networking : Patch Cisco and Arista network appliances (switches) and implement configuration changes as needed as part of ongoing PCI program.
- Solid understanding of core network technologies and principles.
- Interpret technical requirements and effectively interact with cross functional teams to obtain details / clarification.
- Produce clear, concise communications and documentation as needed.
- Work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Highly competent hands-on experience in the following :
- Palo Alto appliances
- Firewall configuration
- F5 appliances
- Cisco proprietary Voice / UC platforms / components
- Cisco and Arista network appliances

Pay Range : $50-$70 / hr
