What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAX - QA Automation Engineer position at Lighthouse Technology Services?
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their QA Automation Engineer position! This is a 12 month contract opportunity based in Rochester, New York and can be REMOTE in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Develop and implement the overall testing strategy, test plans and test cases.
- Identify testing scope and requirements, estimate testing efforts, and prioritize testing activities.
- Manage test cases and report defects using Azure DevOps.
- Design, develop, and execute automated UI tests using nightwatch.js and POM.
- Develop and execute API tests to validate functionality and reliability.
- Conduct mobile application testing across various devices and platforms.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing with BrowserStack.
- Maintain and improve the test automation framework to accommodate future tests.
- Collaborate actively within an Agile development team, engaging with software developers and other stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with current best practices, industry trends, and developments in the testing field.
- Identify potential challenges and bottlenecks in the testing process and proactively address them.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript programming language.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Comprehensive skill set in automation, UI, API, and mobile application testing.
- Strong background in automated testing, GitHub, Azure DevOps, BrowserStack, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
- Experience in QA Automation, UI testing, API testing, and mobile application testing.
- Experience of front-end automation using Selenium and / or nightwatch.js
- Experience with GitHub for version control and source code management.
- Strong understanding of NPM module and package management
- Strong understanding of remote execution tools like Selenium Grid and Browser-Stack .
- Experience working with Azure DevOps for project tracking and test case management.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-past, agile environment.
What You'll Need to Have :
Pay Range : $45-$65 / hr
