HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
SUMMARY
The HR Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily human resources needs of the organization. These include, but are not limited to, assisting with corporate onboarding, employee benefits, payroll, and other administrative services. This position reports to the Human Resource Manager.
The HR Assistant strives to provide exemplary customer service to the employees of Lighthouse Title Group while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, confidentiality, and compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Payroll
- As needed, processing bi-weekly payroll
- Review timesheets, preprocessing payroll reports
- Assist in reconciliation of monthly benefits bills with HR
- Assist with ensuring accuracy of Time and Attendance data and paid time off accruals.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with IRS and other governmental laws and regulations.
Other Human Resources Functions
- Assist in employee benefit administration and coordinating
- Assist in maintaining accuracy in our internal systems by processing employee changes, new hires and removing terminated employees
- Assist in scheduling interviews for job applicants
- Assists with corporate onboarding and new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward Company goals, values, and mission.
- Assists with updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Maintain personnel files and licenses required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
- Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and retirement plans, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, able to respond to changing priorities
- Extremely detail oriented, confidential, organized, and able to work independently and accurately under general supervision.
- Analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills, which allows for strategic data interpretation vs. simple reporting and/or processing.
- Ability and desire to translate financial concepts to individuals at all levels throughout the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are tactful and diplomatic
- Able to respond effectively to telephone and email inquiries.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish trust-based relationships with the employees of Lighthouse Title

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
