Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, specializing in Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals facing addiction and a strong background in patient-centered care. This role is vital in providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT), health coaching, and ongoing support to patients as they navigate their recovery journey.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for opioid use disorder.
- Prescribe and manage FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone) in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment as necessary, and provide ongoing medication management.
- Offer health coaching, counseling, and education on harm reduction, relapse prevention, and overall wellness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, behavioral health specialists, and case managers, to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations and prescribing guidelines.
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care while fostering a supportive environment for recovery.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of practice. (GA)
- DEA waiver (X-waiver) or eligibility to obtain certification for prescribing buprenorphine.
- Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or primary care is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) protocols and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing independent, evidence-based care.
