Your role would include organizing order fulfillment, tracking shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and timely delivery of goods.

General Description Of Position
As our Intermodal Customer Service Representative, you’ll play a critical role in supporting Lightning Transportation by providing exceptional communication and coordination between internal staff, brokers and customers. Your role would include organizing order fulfillment, tracking shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and timely delivery of goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately inputs data into Truckmate system, which would include processing customer orders, coordinate shipment details, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepares all necessary documentation to be accurate and up to date, such as bill of ladings, shipping confirmations, and customs forms.
- Confers with port personnel, operations or navigate websites to expedite or trace shipments.
- Collaborate with internal staff, brokers, customers relating to accounts or shipments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding order status, shipment tracking and related inquiries.
- Resolve customer issues related to deliveries, shipment, or services in a timely resolution.
- Be proactive, driven and committed to making the position their own, going above and beyond to participate in a high performing team.
- Implement EOS within your position to enhance your skills and productivity while continually promoting the company’s core values.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of customer service experience in Intermodal transportation is preferred but not required.
- TruckMate knowledge preferred, but not required.
- Ability to use Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively, use critical thinking, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Lifting less than 25lbs, pushing/pulling less than 10lbs.
- Office setting with temperaturecontrolled offices with moderate noise levels.
