Position Human Resources Generalist
Position reports to the Human Resources Director

Job Location: Hybrid (Chicago, Skokie, and WFH)
Job Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00
The HR Generalist’s primary responsibility is to provide support to the HR Director for the daily functions of the Human Resources Department. This role will be responsible for recruitment, conducting new hire orientation, developing and training employees, benefits, and enforcing company policies.
Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitate the hiring, onboarding, off-boarding, evaluation, and termination process for staff, independent contractors, and temps.
- Conducts background check and coordinates Adverse Action Process.
- Coordinates onboarding and submits completed file of new employees into HRIS System (including I9s).
- Administer staff hiring processes, including writing job descriptions, interviewing, reference checking, employment offers, orientation, etc.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Updating the organizational chart and employee rosters.
- Works with Benefits Manager assisting with benefits enrollments and updates.
- Coordinate the recruiting and selection process for all levels of employment candidates using innovative methods to source and attract top talent.
- Facilitate the onboarding, training, performance management and separation policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) and ensure all employment compliant requirements are met.
- Makes photocopies, scans and emails documents and performs other clerical functions
- Assist working with building management to resolve building maintenance issues.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Assists with office mail and phone calls.
- Promotes firmwide diversity and affirmative action efforts.
- Assist the HR Manager as needed in various HR initiatives and projects.
- Responsible for full cycle talent management, leadership training, employee relations, engagement, employee competency and meeting/exceeding department and company KPIs.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 2-4 years related progressive experience in HR Operations / General HR functions, preferably with 1-2 years of experience in a human resources coordinator role.
- SHRM certifications/credentials a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of HR best practices.
- MS Office experience: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to commute between multiple offices in Chicago and Skokie, IL
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
