Pay Rate: $60,000 to $75,000 yearly
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Vendor Operations Coordinator with a proven background in supplier management. In this role, you will oversee critical aspects of our vendor relationships, including tracking agreements and ensuring compliance, managing cooperative marketing initiatives, and overseeing performance programs. You will also support vendor integration into our company’s EDI system and facilitate smooth order flows into our Oracle NetSuite ERP platform.
A key part of the role includes onboarding new vendors and working closely with cross-functional teams such as accounting, marketing, and sales to ensure seamless operations. This position is remote, candidates must be based in the Chicago area.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage vendor information operations and projects, acting as a point of contact for all vendor-related programs.
- Analyze and resolve operational challenges by collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure efficient processes.
- Maintain vendor information in all internal systems.
- Support and troubleshoot vendor performance data and business processes to optimize outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide insights for strategic planning by contributing competitive analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and industry best practices.
- Develop clear communication to vendors outlining requirements, expectations, and performance metrics.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to meet business needs and provide actionable insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and vendors to foster collaboration and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Proficient in presenting ideas concisely and confidently within a business setting, ensuring clarity and impact.
- Highly self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong presence and confidence when engaging with vendors, fostering positive and productive relationships.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP and EDI systems, ensuring seamless integration and operations.
- Proactively identifies and documents processes ensuring accurate tracking and management of key vendor information.
- Skilled in analysis and reporting, with the ability to generate actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Gains an understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives, aligning vendor operations with broader strategic initiatives.
- Develops knowledge of team workflows, ensuring smooth collaboration and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
