What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Navigator position at LIGHTSHARE BEHAVIORAL WELLNESS & RECOVERY?
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Resource Navigator is responsible for providing front desk/reception office support as an integral part of a busy outpatient program. This position requires attention to detail in scheduling appointments for multiple clinicians, triaging telephone calls, checking clients in and out, managing co-payments and assuring accurate end of day reconciliation of cash.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a High School diploma or GED. Front desk experience in a behavioral health or medical setting is preferred. The successful candidate will have:
- Experience verifying and entering eligibility insurances eligibility
- Experience collecting, managing, and reconciling client fees
- Ability to answer multi line phone system
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for position duties
- Proficient ability to use software programs such as Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Credible or other electronic health record is a plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assures completion of client Intake Packet
- Routinely and effectively obtain information and update client records as needed
- Accurately manages and reconciles client co-pays (including cash and credit cards) according to agency procedures
- Answers incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner; transferring calls as appropriate
- Engage in person and by phone in a professional, courteous manner
- Assist clients with requests
- Relay messages accurately and timely
- Schedule client appointments; complete reminder phone calls
- Verify client insurance eligibility and update in the Avatar system as required
- Collects, manages, and reconciles client fees as needed
- Computer Literacy
- Completes all training requirements in a timely manner
- Completes all other duties and special projects as assigned
